What is Open End Funds?

An open end mutual fund or unit trust allows a fund manager to draw in new capital at any time with any fees being significantly lower than closed end funds.

Most mutual funds/unit trusts around the world are open ended funds. Most fund managers prefer open end fund and the main reason is because of the ability to draw new investment into the funds.
