Wealth Planning & Investment Planning
Investment Planning and Wealth Accumulation falls within the same perimeter. They have the same objectives. The purpose of Investment Planning is to make sure that we get the best possible returns for your investments from the type of risk appetite that we can accept.
Investment Planning also investigates the risk reward ratio and make sure that whatever you risk, the reward is appropriate.
We call this investing and the process, Investment Planning.

Then we need to analyse, where are we right now. What have we been achieving in terms of returns in the past and look at what we want. Is it far off. We have to analyse why we have achieve this and for our goals and aspirations are they achievable?
If they are not, then we have to re-evaluate our aspirations again.

After that, we have to sit down and plan a course of action. Factors to take note and factors that affect your investment returns are the timeline needed to achieve your investment goals; your achievable investment returns; and adjusted rate of inflation.
The planning process will help guide you towards your goals and objectives.
Next we need to find out what investment instruments can give you the kind of investment returns. Not all instruments are suitable for the individual. The most important thing is to understand the investment instrument, what it does and are you willing to take the risk exposure it has.

Wealth Action
Making a proper decision at times may not be easy. Do not act base on advice of a product provider. Act base on advice from an un-biased adviser. One who has nothing to gain from recommending any particular product.
Reason behind it is, I would rather lose my own money from my own advice rather than rely on someone else to lose my money for me. It may be harsh on the current financial advisers but financial companies who still think that by providing pay structures in commissions format will never be able to provide un-bias advice.
The real answer is to have total control over your own money.

Wealth Management
Managed it by consistently reviewing your plan and action plan. Changes such as economic situation may require you to move in and out of certain asset class to protect your investment. Changes in factors such as inflation, interest rates and risk horizons are also factors that can affect your investment objectives.
Therefore continually monitor it. Make sure your investments are well taken care of. Part of your management strategies require that you have a fluid approach to your investment and do not be afraid to hold cash for long periods of time. Buy and hold is simply the worse strategy to employ.
